Deep crimson. Bright and vibrant.

Raspberry and boysenberry with spice and sweet vanilla oak and just a hint of baker's spice.

Tastes like...

Ripe red and dark berries abound. Sweet spice with thread of anise. Attractive oak flavours are in support.

Volume turned up, but smooth, supple and curvaceous.

ORIGIN:  McLaren Flat sub-region.

FERMENTATION:  A single open fermenter with gentle plunging over 12 days.

MATURATION:  The wine was pressed of 'skins' to a combination of 20% new French barriques and older French barriques for 14 months prior to bottling.

 

ANALYSIS:  Alcohol 14.3% v/v, Sugar  <0.9g/L (dry), pH 3.62, Titratable Acidity 5.7g/L
